The Challenge


Formed in 1992, Arco Real Estate Ltd. provides real-estate brokerage, development and investment services. The company employs more than 300 people in 6 countries. Before going public in 2007 the information flow within the company and to the public had to be unified.

All systems had to be available in 9 languages, business processes had to take into account the high needs set on the publicly trading companies and all the goals set had to met only in few months.

The Solution

As for the corporate portal development, do to the limited time frame custom development was out of the question. For corporate portal Modera Intranet with some of its standard modules and some industry specific modules was used. Each department defined their needs and special modules where developed to fulfill them.

For the public websites, Modera Webmaster software was used and do to the standardized build and automatic updates the means for unifying the platform in all countries
 where created.

Corporate portal was integrated with the public websites to deliver cross usable content form one source, bringing efficiency to the setup. Managing user rights and HR information form one location and spreading it to all the destinations from one place saves a lot of time for all parties involved. Same goes with the news articles, corporate information, real estate offers etc. central database holds all the information that is then delivered via, XML, Web Services and widgets to the desired destinations. Updating the number of total offices do not need updates on 20+ locations anymore and that's a relief.
