The Challenge

Nissan Nordic Europe (NNE), former Nissan Baltics, covers three Baltic States with three different websites, acting as the official importer and distributor for Nissan Motor Company. Until now, visuals and content were vastly different across these three websites. Managing the large amount of model-related data and overall content was extremely difficult and time-consuming, causing obsolete or conflicting information in the three countries.

The company needed to implement an easy, centralized data management approach to model data.

The Solution

Modera Webmaster was implemented to streamline and manage all three websites. In addition to official websites, Modera’s regional partners implemented websites based on the same standards for all the dealers. Modera used our unique and virtually universal Car Module, which allows easy car model insertion, image, color, technical data, equipment, package and pricing updates. All information is centralized in one location with a database that stores website information, while XML data feeds automatically generate dynamic content display on the site using XSL templates. That enables NNE to manage content centrally and keep all dealer sites automatically up do date with accurate product data and content.

As a result all Nissan dealers and distributors in this region may now access the XML data feeds and keep their websites 100 percent up-to-date. The accurate product data can also be used for generating PDF pricelists automatically.

If there will be need for changing the layout or functionality, it can be implemented quickly and economically, since all the web solutions are based on the same standards. The solution helped:

 

  • Nissan to get control of the design, product catalogue and official article delivery throughout the information chain
  • Nissan dealers, to keep the critical information on the site up-to-date automatically plus total control of the personalized content delivery via content management system Modera Webmaster. Support in their native language by local Modera partners helped and speeded up the implementation process for dealers.
  • Now Nissan has means to upgrade design, build new services and add modularity easily in the future, since all the websolutions are based on the same standards.
